Can you print halftone images on your bag signs?

To make lawn bag signs we use screen printing process. It’s possible to print halftone images (images with shades, grayscale) but such a process is more complicated and expensive. We have to order a special film for a silk screen and use a thicker ink to be able to print this image. Please send us your artwork and we’ll provide you with a quote.

Can you print multi colour images?

If you need a multi colour image to be printed, the best printing option is digital print on coroplast signs. The price depends on the number of signs you need. Please see our price list for Full Color Digital print on Coroplast here.
If you adjust your design to 1 or 2 solid colour print, we can use a screen printing process and a price is significantly lower, see our Price List for Lawn (Yard) Signs.

Can you use 4 colour process (CMYK) to print on bags?

No, we can’t use digital print on soft materials like bags. We can provide you with full colour process (CMYK) on any rigid surface. The most economical rigid material is a corrugated board, in short – coroplast. See our prices for full colour digital print on 4mm white coroplast boards here.

Can you print my photo on bag signs?

Standard screen printing process usually doesn’t have shade or grayscale options. The image we print through a silk screen is the same colour and can’t be darker or lighter. There is a trick though in screen printing we use to make a part of an image look lighter than the rest of the image. We print small dots instead of a solid printed area and it looks like shades (gradient). Such a print takes more time because we have to clean a screen every 10 prints so this option is more expensive.
Please see the link to the previously printed sign photograph (the sign #0226 on the Page 9 of our web site sign gallery).

Can you print shades?

In screen printing we can print images that look like shades (grayscale) but it’s not a halftone print like in digital print. We print small dots instead of a solid printed area and it looks like shades (gradient). This process takes more time and therefore is more expensive than solid colour print but it’s less expensive that 2 colour print using grey ink as a second colour. Please see the link to the previously printed sign photo.
Please send us your design and we’ll let you know if we can print it.

So you don’t use standard pantone colours?

For screen printing process we buy special UV ink for outdoor usage and it doesn’t have Pantone Number. So we can print a colour similar to a pantone colour but not exactly the same. Besides print through a silk screen is not the same as digital print and a colour could look slightly different even taken from different buckets of the same colour set.
